I can also mail the "Amount Due for a Court Appearance" and select Arraignment (appearance to hear my charges, advisement of rights, and entry of plea) or Court Trial (to contest the citation) and schedule a court appearance by mail. Request Court Appearance (Optional): I can request an Arraignment date without posting bail by appearing in person at the Clerk's office. Present Proof of Correction to a clerk of the court and pay $281 On the letter I received, my options are: Because I didn't have proof of insurance, my total amount due is $1081, but with proof of correction it's $281 which is still a lot. The violations I got written up for are VC-22526A-I and VC16028a-I. The thing is, I don't think I was blocking the intersection, and short of not moving at all for the entire minute the turn light was green, there was no other place I could really go. Also unfortunately for me, my boyfriend didn't update our insurance card and I also go written up for that too. He was writing us tickets at the same time, and told me he was writing that guy up for the same thing, which was blocking the intersection. Unfortunately for me, it was the last day of the month and a motorcycle cop pulled both me and the red truck behind me over (if it matters, he then pulled someone over right after he wrote us up so he was definitely in a ticket trap mood). The road that I was turning into was really busy and going very slowly, so when the arrow turned red, I was still stuck on the crosswalk. There was a sign to yield to pedestrians under the left arrow, so I stopped to let the pedestrians cross on the crosswalk before I went over it. After the arrow turned green, all the cars proceeded to turn left at a normal speed and I followed. I was probably the third or fourth car waiting in the left turn lane. ![]() I was driving in downtown Mountain View during lunch hour when I got pulled over making a left turn. I was wondering if you have any advice on my options, or rather, ways to fight it. I recently got pulled over for gridlock and I have a huge traffic ticket from it.
